Beijing Normal University, is inviting students from DWU to participate in the Global Competition on Design for Futures (GCD4F) 2026.


Originally launched in 2018 as the Global Competition on Design for Future Education (GCD4FE), the initiative is co-organized by Beijing Normal University (BNU) and the UNESCO Institute for Information Technologies in Education (UNESCO IITE), and recognized as one of the key annual events of the World Digital Education Alliance (WDEA). Over the past years, the competition has attracted more than 25,000 participants from over 40 countries, generating 3,000+ innovative project proposals that explore future-oriented solutions for education.


The 2026 competition features three themes:

• AI for Science
• AI for Education
• AI for Society

Students are encouraged to design innovative AI-driven solutions addressing future challenges and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).


Key dates:
Team Registration Deadline: April 30, 2026
Work Submission Deadline: May 31, 2026

Outstanding teams will advance to the Regional Finals, and selected finalists will be invited to the Global Finals in Beijing or Paris in October 2026.

 

Interested Students are to form a team of 3-5 members, cross-disciplinary teams are encouraged to foster diverse perspectives and collaborative innovation.


Form the team and submit your team names to CLT Director Picky Airi via email pairi@dwu.ac.pg.


A meeting will be called with the teams to give you further important competition details and how to design your proposal for the competition themes.
