Writing reports and essays using appropriate academic style and correct referencing can be quite challenging.

Evaluations from the Tertiary Study Skills, Week 0 program over the past six months indicate that while 4% and 11% of learners who participated in the evaluation state they are at advanced and proficient level, 20% of learners are just beginning and 65% still developing skills in this area.

It is for this reason that CLT brings to your attention these learner support resources that will hopefully help you in this area. You can also access these and other resources from the learner support block in your course page.

📚 Introduction to English for Academic Purposes (IEAP)

IEAP is a self-paced, self-directed course resource for learners to learn about basic structures in essay writing, and proper academic referencing using the APA referencing style. It has video instructions and tutorial activities to complete at your own pace and time.
