This unit is comprised mainly of case studies which are aimed at students applying the project management knowledge, tools, and techniques acquired from studies in previous units. Based on Harold Kerzner’s book on Project Management Case Studies, published by John Wiley & Sons, this unit is designed to allow students to apply the knowledge learned in the previous lectures. It requires students to investigate what went right in a case, what went wrong, and what recommendations should be made to prevent problems reoccurring in the future. The unit covers a broad range of knowledge areas in project management applicable to various industries as listed in the content below. Selected cases studies form various industries and organizations in Papua New Guinea will be explored in this unit.
