OT503 Assessment in Online Teaching

OT503 Assessment in Online Teaching

This unit aims to help learners use a learning management system and its e-learning tools to assess online learners. Online learners are receptive to various e-learning tools based on their natural preferences. Knowledge about the different e-learning tools and the type of online learners, including learning outcomes, will help you develop teaching and learning strategies to support the student learning process. An important part of the learning process is feedback on assessments based on the marking criteria and ethical communication between online facilitators and the online learners.

OT504 Technologies and Practices in Online Teaching

Technology-enabled learning has the power to transform both teaching and learning in classroom-based, online, and blended education. This unit aims to help learners by introducing the digital tools and resources learners will need in order to explore, understand, and use in their teaching. Several practices are explored also in this unit. These technologies, including computers, the internet, social media, mobile, tablet devices, software, tools and open educational resources, can bring fundamental structural changes. They can transform teaching by creating new, connected relationships between teachers, students, and content to improve instruction and create a more personalized form of learning.
